## What this conference is for

MOSIP Connect is the annual event of MOSIP, the Modular Open Source Identity Platform, which gives countries open-source building blocks to build and own their national identity systems. The conference brings together the governments implementing MOSIP, the technology partners that integrate with it (biometric devices, credential issuance, authentication), and the wider digital public infrastructure community. Sessions are shaped by the countries themselves, sharing what worked and what did not in real national rollouts.

## When and where

The host country changes each year. Recent editions ran in Ethiopia (2024), the Philippines (2025), and Morocco, where MOSIP Connect 2026 ran February 11 to 13 at the UM6P campus in Sale, near Rabat, in partnership with Morocco's Ministry of Interior. It was a ticketed event with a nominal participation fee. The 2027 host and dates have not been announced; this page will update when they are.

## Who should attend

Government digital ID program teams, system integrators, biometric and credential suppliers, and development organizations working on national ID and inclusion. It sits alongside [ID4Africa](https://startwithidentity.com/conferences/id4africa/) as one of the main venues for national digital ID; see our [digital IDs explorer](https://startwithidentity.com/digital-ids/) for how national schemes compare.

## What to expect

Country case studies, a Solution Discovery expo of partner devices and integrations, hackathon showcases, an unconference track, and workshops. The content is implementation focused and specific to the MOSIP stack, so it is most useful if you are building on it or selling into those programs.

## Coverage

We cover MOSIP Connect selectively, focusing on lessons from national rollouts that apply beyond the MOSIP platform, such as [verifiable credentials](https://startwithidentity.com/standards/verifiable-credentials/) issuance for national ID.
