## What it is

The Identity Heroes is a video podcast from Strata Identity, launched in May 2025 and hosted by three Strata staff: Field CTO Aldo Pietropaolo, VP of Product and Standards Gerry Gebel, and Mark Callahan. Its tagline, "Because no one goes to school for IAM", sets the tone: career stories and lessons from architects, CISOs, and practitioners. Guests have included [Eve Maler](https://startwithidentity.com/experts/eve-maler/), [Heather Flanagan](https://startwithidentity.com/experts/heather-flanagan/), and identity leaders from Navy Federal, MassMutual, and PNC.

## Who it suits

People building a career in identity, and leaders interested in how others run identity teams.

## Editor note

Good guests and a human angle, with episodes on AI agents and on what library science teaches identity standards. The run is short: eight episodes, the last on October 23, 2025, and no end announced, so we list it as dormant. It is vendor-produced, though the conversations are rarely about Strata's products.
