## What it is

State of Identity is the interview podcast of Liminal, a digital identity market research firm, hosted by Cameron D'Ambrosi. It ran from December 2016 to May 2024 and built an archive of 358 episodes with founders and executives across [identity verification](https://startwithidentity.com/vendors/identity-verification/), fraud, authentication, fintech, and privacy regulation.

Product, strategy, and investment people who want to understand how the customer identity and verification market is shaped, and who is building what.

## Editor note

The archive is a useful record of the identity verification market from 2017 to 2024, but it is a market show: guests are mostly vendor founders describing their own companies, so treat episodes as perspectives rather than neutral analysis. No episode has been published since May 8, 2024 and no end has been announced, so we list it as dormant.
