What this conference is for
DICE, the Digital Identity unConference Europe, carries the Internet Identity Workshop format to Europe. Its stated purpose is enabling digital identity collaboration across Europe, and it uses the same Open Space method: there is no fixed agenda, and participants propose and lead every session. Earlier editions were held in Zurich; the 2026 edition ran June 22 to 24 in Copenhagen, co-hosted by Idura.
Who should attend
People building or regulating European digital identity: EU Digital Identity Wallet implementers, verifiable credentials and OpenID4VC engineers, public-sector program teams, and researchers. As at IIW, the value comes from contributing, not watching.
What to expect
Small, discussion-heavy days with the agenda set each morning. DICE publishes proceedings books, photos, and session highlights, which make a useful public record even if you cannot attend.
Coverage
We cover DICE in full when it runs, focusing on wallet and credential threads that matter beyond Europe. The 2027 edition has not been announced yet.
