🇨🇦 Canada
Canada has no single national digital ID. Identity programs run at the provincial level (such as the BC Services Card) while the federal government provides login credentials like GCKey for accessing national online services.
The BC Services Card is a government-issued ID and digital credential issued by the Province of British Columbia for proving identity and accessing provincial services in person and online. A BC Services Card Account provides a digital identity that lets residents log in to services accepting BC Services Card Login. It is provincial in scope, reflecting Canada's lack of a single national digital ID.
See how it works →GCKey is a federal username-and-password credential used to sign in to most Government of Canada online accounts and services. It is one of two main ways to access federal services, the other being a Sign-In Partner login through a participating bank. GCKey is a credential service integrated across more than 30 federal departments, not an identity document.
