🇨🇱 Chile
Chile runs a two-layer identity system: the foundational Cedula de Identidad smart card issued by the Civil Registry (new chip version from 2024) and ClaveUnica, the national digital-identity login operated by the Digital Government Secretariat with more than 15 million users.
ClaveUnica is Chile's national digital identity provider, a single password that lets citizens and residents access virtually all of the Chilean State's online services. It is the foundation of Chile's National Digital Identity Model, administered by the Digital Government Secretariat, with identity verification handled by the Civil Registry.
