Mike Schwartz founded Gluu in 2009 to make enterprise-grade identity available to organizations that could not or would not buy a proprietary suite. After a decade he handed the core engine to the Linux Foundation as the Janssen Project and chairs its steering committee. He co-wrote Securing the Perimeter, a book about building IAM from open-source components, and hosts the Identerati Office Hours livestream.
