Imprivata is the dominant identity and access vendor in healthcare, known for clinical single sign-on, tap-and-go badge access, and privileged access for care settings. It sold its general IGA business to SailPoint in 2024 to focus on access and PAM in healthcare.
Capability deep-dive
Speed and convenience for clinicians, shared-workstation handling, and healthcare-specific workflows are unmatched in that vertical. Outside healthcare its horizontal IGA and developer story are limited, and it is a vertical specialist by design.
