Overview
Cisco Secure Access is Cisco's security service edge (SSE) offering, delivering ZTNA, secure web gateway, CASB, and firewall-as-a-service from the cloud. It integrates Cisco's Duo for identity and Umbrella for DNS and web security.
What it is good at
The value is integration: identity-driven access through Duo, broad security functions in one cloud service, and tight fit with Cisco networking. Enterprises already running Cisco can consolidate secure access and get consistent, identity-aware policy.
Where it falls short
It is most compelling inside the Cisco ecosystem; vendor-neutral shops may prefer independent SSE or ZTNA. As a newer platform, some capabilities are still maturing.
Pricing
Quote-based enterprise licensing.
Best for, and who should look elsewhere
Choose it if you run Cisco and want integrated SSE and ZTNA. Look elsewhere for a standalone or vendor-neutral option.
Bottom line
Cisco's converged SSE with identity-aware ZTNA, best for existing Cisco and Duo customers.
